Private Training

Steve “The Dream” Magdaleno is currently a Professional MMA fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.  He has fought in Japan winning the Pancrase Neo Blood Tournament and recieved the MVP award for best fighter in the tournament.  He has also fought in Russia for M1, and was last seen in the UFC’s ”The Ultimate Fighter” on Spike TV. 

He has over 20 years experience in the martial arts.  He is a decorated brazilian jiu jitsu grappler having won the Pan Americans and many other grappling/jiu jitsu competitions. A dedicated martial artist that still actively competes year after year, who is always on the look out to refine his technique.  With all of his accomplishments in both Jiu Jitsu and MMA he is now offering private training for those who wish to compete competively, physical fitness, or simple self defense.  Please review the “fight stats” page to see an extensive list of previously won tournaments.

He offers private training in a variety of martial arts disciplines in El Segundo, CA at the VMAT training center.  Being a well rounded fighter is something Magdaleno has always prided himself in and offers private training in the following disciplines:




Mixed Martial Arts:  Steve Magdaleno has been involved in Martial arts over 20 years and has been a Pro-MMA fighter for over the past 4.  He has amassed a record of 6-2 and was the 2008 Pancrase Neo Blood Tournament Champion+MVP in Tokyo, Japan.




Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu:  Magdaleno has been practicing and actively competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 14 years.  A black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Magdaleno has been a Pan American Champion and has competed in various Pro Grappling competitions in both the U.S.A, Brazil and Japan.




Muay Thai/Kickboxing: 
Steve Magdaleno won the 2007 Shootboxing National Amateur tournament in Tokyo, Japan, and has 7 years kickboxing experience.  As an MMA fighter, Magdaleno is an adept striker who utilizes his powerful kicks to a great extent.




Wrestling:  With over 14years wrestling experience, Steve has trained under the likes of 2000 Sydney Olympic Greco Roman silver medalist Katsuhiko Nagata during his stay in Japan, and currently trains under U.F.C  fighter, Vladimir Matyushenko.
